Hoopla FAQ
basic info on using Hoopla

Borrowing Limits :

4 checkouts per library card per month

Expired library cards are blocked

Library cards with fines or fees exceeding $25 are blocked

Loan periods :

Videos check out for 3 days

Music content checks out for 7 days

Audiobooks, eBooks, & Comics check out for 21 days

There are no renewals. You can return a title early by clicking on the item in the "currently borrowed list" and selecting "Return Now." However, returning an item early will not allow you to check out more titles.

Titles will "return" automatically.

Items cannot be 'held'.

A Kids Mode is available for children and young people. Kids Mode is turned 'on' in the Settings section of your account. After logging out of Hoopla, the setting must be turned back on. Parents are responsible for monitoring their children's choice of content.

We recommend using a unique email address if you check out content from more than one library system. ( You are a registered borrower at both Lexington and Richland libraries and check out Hoopla content from both sites.)

For more information, check out the Hoopla Digital Help site.
